In case you missed it...

It's been all over the, er, blogosphere, so it's probably not news to you at this point, but just in case: If there was any doubt about the specious, offensive nature of the flag-burning amendment the right wingnuts are touting these days (it is, of course, just another in a series of distractions -- anything to keep us from paying attention to Iraq, the economy, the collapse of our healthcare system, war profiteering, governmental corruption, and on and on), it's confirmed by the fact that only three governments on earth currently outlaw flag burning: Iran, Cuba, and China.

There used to be four countries that banned it: Iraq under Saddam Hussein also outlawed that particular exercising of free speech.

Are you at all alarmed, Bush voters, about the countries we're modeling ourselves after these days?
